Taking a break from the high school Im building to check the headlines and I see one that reads 'black actors win all guest categories for first time'. Or something like that. I wonder if the word 'won' is quite appropriate. The unfortunate consequence of being told that blacks are victims all the time is that any achievement by them, well, almost any, is immediately questioned. Was it legitimate or was it simply guilt that gave it to them, i.e a shakedown...?

Hm, Apple bans Alex Jones for objectionable content. Wonder whats next. Someone will probably knock me off the web for being a hateful git...

Reading some Carl Jung tonight and two very important observations intersected like a bolt of lightning and understanding was gained. This may get a bit involved...
First, understand that societies in general can be viewed from a mass psychiatric viewpoint just like an individual. An excellent fictional story in this vein is ‘The Foundation Trilogy’ by Isaac Asimov.
Second, understand that history is cyclical in nature. It may not have appeared so to people in times past (a point which I would actually argue) but in our modern age we have no excuse for not realizing that. The preeminent work on this in my opinion is ‘The Fourth Turning’ by William Strauss and Neil Howe. Easily one of the books that made the greatest impact on my life!
So while reading Carl Jungs work on dream interpretation this evening he noted that when a society takes symbols that have a religious value and importance to them and repress them, they dont just disappear. The energy they carry in particular does not vanish. Energy, of any kind, is not created or destroyed, just ask Newton. It merely changes form.
In this instance, the energy is repressed into a sort of dark, societal shadow, just like the shadow archetype hat Jung wrote about at length for the individual. As a result, it will manifest in unpredictable manners down the road, and generally unpredictably bad.
So I realized that this is the general driving factor behind the chaos and entropy that drives and feeds the Fourth Turning portion of the saecular cycle. Society spends the better part of 60-70 years repressing things and those things then turn right around and destroy the society.
In our current case, we have been told by the people with the megaphones (i.e. media, government, Hollywood, education, medicine, all the usual suspects) that the biggest problems with modern life, at least here in the west, are whiteness, maleness, heterosexuality, Christianity, conservatism, etc.
So all the energy that could have gone into a healthy expression of these things and kept the bedlam to a dull roar will instead resurface with a vengeance. And I tremble for our world once it breaks loose. Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war indeed. As Remus would sagely advise, stay away from crowds!
That is all for now. I have not re-read for editing, I simply want to get this thought out there. Im headed to bed so I can see what dreams may come of this...

You! Yes you in the Mercedes that cut me off earlier in traffic! You drive a cheap Benz, you have a university tag on your car and you are from the east side. That's enough for me to categorize you as an asshole!

One of my children was pondering the mysteries of the universe the other day, to wit: when a woman marries a man she generally takes his last name. Not so the other way. Why this evil double standard?
Oh I dont know, how about because for the better part of the last 6000 known and semi-recorded years of history it has been the men that provide for women? Property questions aside, Edwin Abbot may have been onto something...

I went into a Dillards store today looking for a brown leather jacket. I know a good one will not be cheap so I was mentally prepped to drop $400-500 on one. I kid you not, I walked the entire mens section and the only tip of the hat I got was 'how ya doin?' by one chap who worked there as he hurried past on his way to somewhere else.
Better service at WalMart, whom I generally avoid on moral grounds as I object to excess surveillance by the state. That I am blogging on a Google service is ironic, I know. I have top men working on it. Top men!

PF Changs. Mediocre lunch, I think they have eased up on the specs for their beef. A bit chewier than I recall. And the young lady waiting on us seemed to prefer attendance anywhere else on the planet but at work. Perhaps the Gulag?

Well, there is no next right at the moment. Maybe more later, maybe not for a few days. We'll see how the spirit moves me...

Some morning thoughts en route to work:
Cory Booker leaked some documents yesterday prior to the Kavenaugh hearing. It turns out that they had, in fact, been declassified, but that was not widely known at the time. Another senator called him out for it and suggested punishment for the act.
Booker, knowing that he was not in violation of anything, basically said bring it on. My problem with this is that the other senator (Republican, dont recall his name) folded like a wet paper towel. So you cant censure him or take away his midget intern for a day. You can point out the trap he attempted to ensnare you in and detail the way weasels like him function.
Sigh. But since you dickless wonders cant or wont do it I suppose its left to irritable old bastards like myself.
Next
A Papadpoulus pardon in the works perhaps? His sentencing is today I hear, and his wife has expressed hopes that Mr. Trump will pardon him. I can just hear the wailing of 'Rogue President (TM)' now. The entire Hive Mind will flip their collective shit.
I hope he does it. Pardon that hard to spell asshole and give the establishment the big middle finger. The FBI has, does and will tell a lie to get you to wet yourself and surrender. If they do not hold themselves to the law, then anyone convicted by them through their fraud should be summarily pardoned.
Gangsters.

Hell. Work got in the way of a perfectly good day to be lazy and good for nothing. Apologies in advance, it looks as though most of the upcoming weekend and week will be that way. More to come as I am able to muster time to address it.

Hm, Deepthroat is back. Curious how that only seems to happen under so-called Republican presidents...
Lets start the day:
I downloaded the Official Get Trump Playbook and Cheat Code Summary today from Scribd. Ill get to reading it and sharing some of the breakdown as Im able...
Next
Im attempting to get a WordPress site set up to move over to but still having issues. Im smart enough to write this stuff in a word type document, but I was publicly schooled so getting the correct order of setup, payment, etc seems to be eluding me! The website, if I ever get there, will be www.dsu01.com.
Next
Looks like not only do I have stop using Nike (which honestly is not that much of an issue for me, I only have a couple of their items...) but I also have to stop using Levi's. That will be slightly more problematic, but not overly so. Anti-gunners and SJW corporate fucks deserve to be hit where it hurts. If it divides the worlds, so be it.
Next
Burt Reynolds dead at 82. A mans man, may God rest you sir!

Slow day on the net. Maybe everybody is kung-fu fighting elsewhere. Guess I'll go look for 'em.

Just a few notes today.
First, a saboteur in the White House hm? Well remember folks, that shit goes both ways,
Next
44% approval? Not with me. Still nearing 100% BFYTW! Especially if there is a mole, uh, pardon, a saboteur in play.
Next
I will not be bothering to watch the upcoming Captain Marvel. To change the characters to fit PC is to kill the story. Let them die.
Next
Nike doubles down. Eager for oblivion I see...
I think that shall be it for now.

We went to a local space museum yesterday. Lots of fascinating stuff, and very impressive! For some reason I always get choked up at the occasional display. In this case it was one talking about the Berlin Wall and how it represented the rivalry between the US and USSR. Having been old enough to realize what was going on when it came down it just resonated with me.
As I walked through the remainder of the displays, it struck me (again) how utterly squandered the opportunities of our nation have been. If we had blown on space exploration but a fraction of what we (as the US only) has frittered away on the hobgoblins of 'diversity' and 'tolerance' and 'equality' and OMFG especially 'gobal warming/ climate change/ etc' then we would be, as of this writing, halfway to the nearest star system by now. Manned, not a drone!
So I spent the rest of my Labor Day morose and pissed.

Kaepernick, of noted NFL mediocrity, is the new face of Nike. Their ad reads 'believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything.' Um, pardon? What has that used up has been sacrificed? Fame? Not if even I know his name. Fortune? I highly doubt he is doing this for Nike for free. Respect? Perhaps his own, and certainly mine, but there are legions of mindless, unthinking Borg out there that think he is Optimus Prime for fighting 'the Man'. Give me a break!

Mind is starting to wander so I had better head out. More later.

A few miscellaneous thoughts from an excruciatingly hot day:
I would be really pissed if I was a fat dude trying to fit in a stall at Lowes...
Watching Tattletale (old game show) reruns from 1974. The prize packages were about $1500 tops. It sounds paltry today, but the currency has devalued over 90% since then. The nation was just a couple of years off the gold standard and you could still buy a new luxury car for under $10,000, a damned nice house in a post neighborhood for under $50k!
Bankers suck.
