Some starting thoughts this morning.

First, the media is entertainment.  Thats all it is.  Every single minute is edited by someone and reflects something that they want you to believe.  Including this blog.

I hear on the radio that Louis CK has returned to comedy and got cheers for it.  I hear from Breitbart that Louis CK returned to comedy and was harassed and verbally abused.

I heard nonstop coverage over the weekend of some kid killing a couple of gamers at a contest in Florida before killing himself.  Yet I hear nothing other than local coverage of a couple that was killed in a small town in Kansas before the killer shot himself.

What are the agendas being promoted?

An obvious thing to me, but not so much to some I guess: there is not a single human on the face of the planet that is, or can be, equal with another.  We are all different, and different is unequal.  Tough shit, I didnt make the rule, I just notice it.

A passing thought: the Rhodes Scholarships (thinking Bill Clinton here...) are named after Cecil Rhodes, after whom a country was named: Rhodesia.  Rhodesia was the template for the current South African land shenanigans.  After killing off the white farmers there and taking over the country the Borg changed its name to Zimbabwe.  All things Rhodes related were verboten.

So when will the Rhodes Scholarships change their name and when will Bill Clinton renounce his?

Seems like we are starting to hear a new term out there... 'political diversity', as in, 'Facebook has a problem with..' etc.  Welcome news, hopefully it will gain some traction!

Ancestry tests strike me as being something of a scam.  I would like, as a genealogist, to know what the mix is in my body so that I can check and verify the various ancestors that I have located through long and sometimes meticulous research.

Yet I have two (to me) very real concerns.  First that the data collected is being kept somewhere, and at some point it will be scooped up and used by people with ill intent.  Some may think this unfounded, but there are millions of dead from the 20th century that would argue the point, and merits, of being on a list.

Second, that it can, may, probably will be used by other ill intended groups to use the purported results to their advantage.  The Dr. Seuss story 'The Sneetches' comes to mind...

Quality filter?  I think that used to be called 'censorship'.

So which is it, equality or identity politics?
